This past Monday marked a milestone for the marijuana industry as it celebrated another year of legal recreational sales in Colorado.
“Consumers clearly want our products,” Michael Lord, senior vice president of Business Development for LivWell Enlightened Health said. “We are also extremely proud that the tax revenues generated by our business benefit Colorado schools and that we’ve had a big role in minimizing the black market for marijuana.”
While medical marijuana in Colorado was legalized in 2000 under Amendment 20, recreational marijuana wasn’t deemed legal until 2012 when voters passed Amendment 64.
The amendment allows adults age 21 years and older the ability to legally purchase and possess up to an ounce of recreational marijuana or THC in a single transaction, according to PotGuide.com….
